My news producer career started in August 2020 at WDTN 2 News in Dayton, OH. After three years of being a production technician at WishTV, I wanted to advance my career in news. So I packed my bags and headed for the Buckeye State. In the news department, I have written and produced daily newscasts for the dayside and nightside shows. I research news and feature content to develop compelling newscasts. Along with producing, I also work as an assignment editor. I schedule interviews with community partners for reporters and photographers, while also conducting interviews myself. I have written stories for the WDTN website and send social media alerts during breaking news. As an assignment editor I am the point of contact for everyone in the newsroom, making sure my colleagues are given the information they need in order to have a successful newscast.
