My professional career began in December 2017 as a Production Technician at WishTV8 in Indianapolis, IN. This position has given me a plethora of tools and knowledge to be successful in the news industry. In the production department I floor direct live news casts, operate robotic cameras, and run teleprompter for on air talent. I am also in charge of distributing microphones to talent and guests and maintaining the cleanliness of the news studio. While these are my everyday duties, my work ethic hasn’t stopped there. I have learned to operate the basics of Ross Overdrive. I direct and record web weather on the weekends and I also direct live newsbreaks and weather cut-ins when needed. Overall through my experience in production, I have gained the confidence and knowledge of tv news. This has inspired me to seek out other opportunities in the newsroom.
